The dog burning scale is much better. I also used a large container rather than parenting the container to the dog. I wish the flames had more defined licks and I don't know if it is too turbulent. Finally I don't know if the texture is moving too quickly or not enough.
The pilot light will be parented to the geometry. I was wondering if the color and shape of the flame is ok.

Hey Jon, Nice! I think I like the feel of this one better. You might try turning off the texturing and see what you just get purely from the sim. I think for fire you actually might get a better look from a high simulation and without texture. You might get more of what you want. And you don't have to worry about the texture matching the motion. I like the colors but it might be cool to get a little more of that blue in there. Maybe talk with Kristi to see what might go best with the lighting design. You might also parent a large drage field to the dog too so it pulls some of the fire with it when it moves.
